Digital Marketing Blogs – A Broad, Broad Field

Digital marketing is a broad field. These days, it encompasses web design, SEO, social media marketing, content marketing, online advertising campaigns, branding, email marketing, infographics, e-commerce, and much, much more. With the scope of digital marketing growing every day, it’s important to keep up with the latest news, trends, and studies in digital marketing. It’s a learning process! Problem is, the field of digital marketing blogs is about as broad as the industry itself! Every new software startup seems to have a blog along with every digital agency (including us).

As a digital marketing agency, we spend time every week reading a lot of digital marketing blogs to make sure we are constantly honing our craft and improving our expertise. Take it from us—we read a lot of blogs. But since it’s not realistic or reasonable for the non-agency business to read this much information, we’ve taken the liberty of doing the grunt work for you. We’ve compiled a short list of the blogs you should be reading. Reading these will give you enough information to be informed and improve your business’ digital marketing, but they won’t overwhelm you!

How You Should Read Your Content

Gone are the days of the old RSS feed – there’s a number of free services that will let you read several blogs in one convenient place. Here’s a few of our favorites:

Feedly

Feedly has a web-based reader in addition to iOS and Android apps. Feedly gives you only the bare bones, and that’s why we love it. Add in the feeds you want to read, and Feedly does the rest.

Flipboard

Flipboard takes a traditional RSS feed and turns it into a visually striking, magazine-like feed. Perfect for readers who prefer a more visual experience when consuming published content.

Twitter Lists

Okay, call us crazy, but the Twitter List function is really useful. Just create a list of the accounts (we’ve mentioned three already) you want to view regularly, and voila! You can follow that list to read all the content your favorite blogs post. Plus, if you’re already a Twitter user, it keeps you from having one more app to keep up with.
