Building Authority
Authority is hardest thing to achieve in the eyes of the search engines. Built upon the strength of links pointing to your site from other sites, the search engines, in turn, look at the authority of these other sites to factor the worth of the external links. They are also wary of any underhanded techniques to acquire links, such as link spamming comments on blogs and forums or buying links (though there are some exceptions). The tactics we employ to help acquire links include:
- Submissions to industry specific directories
- Submissions to product/service directories
- Submissions to location directories
- Content development that provides linkable resources for the community
- Inquiries for links or reviews from relevant bloggers
- Partnering with resources or other relevant authority sites for links
