A Website Worth Marketing
From Search Engine Results to the online marketing campaign. It is the easiest thing for you to manage or change and a “good” website makes you a more attractive target for link acquisition as well as internet partnerships. A refined website will help improve your Search Engine Rank, increase your sales and give you opportunities to engage your target online community.
But what does “good” mean? We have outlined some basic steps below to help you build up and improve your website. Later, we will go into more detail about each of these steps and more, so be sure to RSS our Blog to stay up to date.
Step 1: “A rose by any other name…” ~ William Shakespeare
Choose your keywords wisely. Keywords are the words that people will type into the search engines to potentially find your website and are the words that you definitely want to rank for. Keyword research is vital because arbitrary word selection can be harmful to a marketing campaign. There are several ways to research and we’ll go into more detail about methods in another post, but Google’s keyword tools (as well as the one in Adwords) can show you keywords that monetize well along with traffic estimates for each.
Step 2: “Know thy enemy” ~ Sun Tzu
Your competitor can be a great source for information on what works. Perform a SWOT analysis and be sure to look at their content, calls to action, keywords and links. We’ll give you more insights on how to do this further down the line, but do all you can to know your competitors; they can be your greatest insight into your audience.
Step 3: “By the content of their character[s]” ~ Martin Luther King Jr.
More than anything else, you and your website will be judged by the content. Content is what makes your various web pages relevant to the search engines for particular terms. It creates link-worthy value that improves your search engine rank and referral traffic. It also helps your audience make a purchase decision while on your website, increasing the likelihood of a purchase directly from you. Stay tuned for more details on how to create great content.
Step 4: “Fail. Fail Again. Fail Better!” ~ Samuel Beckett
Keep working at it. Don’t hold off executing a plan while trying to make it perfect. Your competitors will (or at least should) be constantly evolving their marketing strategies and the Search Engines are ever-evolving as well. The true key is to make sure you remain accessible, so if you do fail the online community has the opportunity to let you know why and to suggest ways for you to grow and improve.
Next time we will be discussing the basics of Social Media through the lens of “Return on Investment.”

I think the only draw back of using ASP.Net here is that it marginally slows up the processing unlike PHP. Just what I’ve found to be true.
